BRIAN NISBET - Now You Know

In 2007, Scots-born poet Brian Nisbet, after becoming ill with the life-limiting neurological disorder, multiple systems atrophy, had to give up playing musical instruments and began to write poetry. His work has been widely published in poetry magazines, while his texts for musical settings have been broadcast on Radio 3, and performed at the Edinburgh Festival. From 2009-2011 he studied with poets Jane Draycott and Jenny Lewis while completing Oxford's Diploma in Creative Writing. Brian's poetry reflects a man of compassionate insight who loves words and, above all, knows how to take mischief seriously. (1959-2015)
